Non-Financial Changes

The Federal Government need a significant number of changes that are non-financially related. Here we will discuss some of them here.

Term Limits

Term limits needed to be added as a constitutional amendment, but a law needs to be created immediately capping term limits to 5 terms (10 years) for the House of Representatives, and 2 terms (12 years) for the Senate.  This will get our country on a correct track faster because we can have new senators and representatives helping to fix our future.  This would need to be imposed immediately and so the upcoming elections those that are no longer able due to that fact that they have already spent their time in congress can be sent home.  The way to get fresh ideas is to get fresh people.

U.S. Mint

There are several very good ideas out there to reform the U.S. Mint.  Here are some:

  • Embrace Cryptocurrencies. Recognize those as legal tender.
  • Cease making the $1 and $5 bill and replace them with coins. This will help ease the printing of those currencies. 
  • Cease making the 1 cent coin remove this from the exchange.
  • Create a “coin card” where you have a simple card for you to store you “change” on.  The idea here would be to have a simple smart card that has your change on it and when you are checking out, they give you the bills (or maybe not even bills) and everything is just on a smart card.
  • Follow lead from Canada, where they now have a contracted it out to private businesses (https://www.downsizinggovernment.org/privatization-innovation-and-exports)

Federal Reserve

  • Eliminate the Federal Reserve, and use the assets that the reserve has taken from the american people pay down the debt.
  • By Adopting Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin our monetary supply is no longer needed to be controlled by the Federal Government.

Homeland Security/CIA/FBI

  • Combine all three entities into one, while reviewing those jobs that are duplicated and reducing them.  Move these departments to be under the control of the Defense Department

Repeal Tax Code

A complete overhaul of the tax code is in order.   But there are many other regulations that need to be repealed such as:

  • Limits on Retirement contributions
  • Limits on Health Savings Account
  • Repeal anything that is paid “after tax”
